About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Planned Giving to join their philanthropic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing all planned giving activities, including a national marketing, communication, and education initiative. This role involves cultivating, soliciting, and closing leadership-level planned gifts, as well as stewarding planned giving donors. The Executive Director will also be tasked with training staff on planned giving vehicles and overseeing a team of planned giving fundraisers. Applicants for the Executive Director of Planned Giving position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' leadership experience in philanthropy, with a focus on planned giving. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of planned giving prospects and donors, as well as experience in planned giving program implementation and management. Proficiency in planned giving software and a Bachelor's degree are essential, with a preference for an advanced degree. The Executive Director will be expected to work closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer, board members, and other internal teams, and must be prepared for significant travel and a demanding schedule.
