Position Summary |
PART-TIME This .6 FTE position oversees and conducts analyses to ensure congruency between grant applications and IACUC protocols as required by external grant funding agencies, and in accordance with UNMC policy. This position provides support for the IACUC Chairs and IACUC by: performing pre-review of protocol submissions; providing technical support for UNMC investigators during the development of animal use protocols; providing support to IACUC office for processing protocol submissions; providing technical summaries of IACUC protocols that are under review by the IACUC; ; and providing animal study monitoring and reporting to the IACUC as requested by the IACUC. This position requires a thorough understanding of animal-based research and scientific methodology with a thorough knowledge of animal use guidelines, regulations and UNMC Policies. |
