Position Summary | Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the lab of Professor Jae Hyuk Yoo, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Nebraska College of Medicine to study uveal melanoma which is the most common primary ocular malignancy in adults with the goal of identifying molecular pathways that can be therapeutically targeted to inhibit tumor growth and prevent metastasis. Biochemical, molecular, and cell biological approaches, as well as animal models, are employed to study novel signaling mechanism and to investigate there in vitro and in vivo functions. The principal duties of this position are performing and interpreting experiments pertaining to ongoing projects and others in the lab and communicating the results in oral and written formats: delivering seminars, both internally and at scienti?c meetings, and drafting manuscripts for submission to peer-review journals. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or Ph.D./M.D. in biomedical sciences or a related discipline, strong research background, initiative to lead projects, excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently as well as with multi-departmental collaborators. |

Therefore, laboratory personnel will be exposed to Atmosphere, Blood/body fluids, and chemical hazards. Some experiments are necessary to conduct in cold temperatures. All lab personnel performing experiments should wear appropriate PPE. |
