Position Summary
Education Program Coordinator II participates in the planning, preparation and implementation of daily operations, educational activities, and novel initiatives for departmental supported unaccredited fellowship programs and in the coordination of educational activities that impact graduate education and professional trainees. The responsibilities include developing materials, coordinating recruitment and orientation activities, planning events, coordinating calendars, gathering, and recording trainee and program progresses, engaging in moderately budgeting processing and ensuring departmental compliance to maintain high standards of the programs. Manage all aspects of Pathology & Microbiology (PAMM) lead clinical courses and coordinate medical student rotations and visiting observers.

Primary coordinator of:
  • One required educational program and department electives with a combined total of at least 14 or more students per rotation.

  • Skilled in problem-solving and dealing with multiple and often conflicting positions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills so that interact with faculty, students, staff, scientific organizations, and other members of the public in a positive and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of program coordination to evaluate current and proposed policies, procedures, and processes pertinent to program operations to determine their effectiveness, and recommend modifications and improvements.
  • Able to manage complex documentation and statistical files, and prepare complex analyses and final reports.
