Position Summary | Seeking a postdoctoral research associate to do research and scholarly activities related to single molecule studies of the E. coli SSB interactome. Specially focused on the role of SSB-partner interactions. The incumbent will perform experiments, analyze data, write scientific manuscripts, and present in scientific meetings. Hands-on experience in single-molecule approaches will be preferred. Cloning, protein purification, and bulk-phase characterization of AFP-fusion proteins as well as all of the bulk-phase protein-DNA assays are ideal. Extensive experience in biochemistry, chemistry, and/or biophysics preferred. A self-starter with a strong interest in understanding protein-DNA interactions at the single molecule level is preferred. |
