Physical Therapy Assistant Student Health at UNL- Lincoln NE - Casual Employee

A Physical Therapist Assistant supports our licensed Physical Therapists in delivering therapeutic services to patients. This role focuses on preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient mobility and exercises under supervision, maintaining equipment, and performing administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations. Therapy aides do not provide direct clinical assessments or treatments independently but play a vital role in enhancing patient care by creating a safe, organized, and supportive environment for rehabilitation and recovery.

Work Schedule:

  • Clinic hours are 8-5 Mon-Friday.
  • Approx.1 day a week. Possibility to cover in the event of ill calls.

Required Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant school required.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required.
* Strong team orientation required.
* Strong computer and office equipment skills required.
* Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
*Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior rehabilitation experience preferred
