We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Technician to join our growing auditory research team. Our lab uses a multidisciplinary approach- including fluorescence imaging, mouse genetics, and biochemical techniques- to investigate how the cochlea develops and forms the neural circuits that are essential for hearing.
This is a full time, grant funded role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of experiments to support ongoing research projects
• Handle and manage mouse models, including breeding, genotyping, and routine care.
• Train and mentor students in laboratory techniques
• Maintain detailed and accurate experimental records.
• Assist with lab organization and compliance with lab safety
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a research lab environment.
• Proficiency in mouse handling, including experimental procedures and maintenance.
• Experience in mentoring or training students in a laboratory setting
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain meticulous records.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with fluorescence imaging techniques, molecular biology, or biochemical assays.
• Knowledge of cochlear or sensory system development is a plus.
