About this Opportunity:
As a Solutions Architect is, you will be in charge of creating, designing, and implementing arrangements within Orion. The Solutions Architect will help to build new systems needed by the company and must be able to identify the business' current growth opportunities and future technological goals. They are also in charge of communicating the executive direction with other departments to implement new plans and goals.
The Solutions Architect will act as a liaison between the executive team and the technology team to lead and manage new initiatives to improve our business and to drive sales. The Solutions Architect will primarily leverage technology to improve our current solution set and will be responsible for the client experiences that interface through technology as well as help shape the message to advisors for our newly formed subsidiary.
Within the technology department, the Solutions Architect will oversee managing the application developers to ensure the team fully understands the business requirements, those requirements are met and delivered. The Solutions Architect will be the lead liaison between the technology team and the business as well as coaching the development team on business strategy and how to apply it to technical solutions.As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.

In this role, you'll get to:
Participate in product development committee relating to business
Act as the lead for the translation of business objectives and requirements into functional solutions
Prepare and document testing requirements as well as all test data, working with the teams Quality Assurance specialist
Lead brainstorming sessions and identify areas for process improvements.
Prioritize goals and objectives from the business leads and monitor the work of the technology department
Design and develop technical solutions with the UI/UX developer
Identify client and advisor-centric strategic initiatives for prioritization and approval
Quarterback all client and advisor centered strategic initiatives while leveraging Orion department heads in conjunction with executive team
Proactive outreach to third party partners of Orion business, including custodial partners, broker dealers, and registered investment advisors to identify shared opportunities to improve client and advisor experience holistically across various service providers
Work with National Sales Team members to identify key relationships that can be enhanced with tighter integrations
Articulate the problem statement and identify any challenges, roadblocks, and impediments with both the business and technical teams to ensure successful solutions are being architected
Participate in product development committee relating to business
Continually monitor the satisfaction of clients and advisors utilizing Orion through proactive surveying and outreach
Coordinate implementation of adopted product committee initiatives
Manage and improve each interaction of a client and advisor, over the entire lifecycle of the account, from prospecting, account opening, ongoing maintenance, periodic communications of account maintenance, account closing, etc.
Provide periodic training to sales teams regarding product lines
Train Quality Assurance Specialist to work more closely with business teams.
Create and manage knowledge center where all aspects of product lines are disclosed for internal training purposes
Attend Orion Advisor Technology user functions and board meetings
We're looking for talent who has:

OLTP databases (SQL Server)
Event driven architectures
CDC patterns
AWS (EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch)
Redshift and Snowflake
Experience in managing a team of engineers
Problem-solving skills, initiative-driven approach
Tackled challenges and drives innovation
Knowledge of investment advisory business
Knowledge of investment advisory business
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in any field
Obtains Orion Industry Certification
Preferably has minimum of 5 years of experience working in client-facing financial or investment role
Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:
$108,245.00 - $169,933.00The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
