Eye Care Associate #HIRING

Description

Midwest Eye Care is looking for an Eye Care Associate at our locations at our 7202 Giles Street and 18111 Q Street locations.

 Full-time (40 hours per week)

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm or 8:30am – 5:30pm

In this role YOU will:

• Handle optician duties with the following:
  • Assist patients with glasses frame and lens selection
  • Adjust and repair glasses.
  • Educate patients on differences in materials and lens styles.
  • Neutralize and transpose prescriptions.
  • Take accurate optical measurements.
  • Explain vision benefits to patients.
  • Communicate with lab and patients regarding orders.
• Handle Front Desk Duties

  • Check in patients upon arrival in the clinic.

    • Schedule future appointments.

    • Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.

    • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.

    • Collect patient payment as needed.

    • Monitor and ensure patient(s) wait times.

Requirements

Outstanding candidates will have:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills to manage orders and inventory effectively.
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements and fittings.
• Proficiency in using optical equipment and software.
• Strong knowledge of eyeglasses, lens materials, and prescription types.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with insurance billing and claims processing is a plus.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

• Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification, a motor vehicle record check, and a credit check.

• Successfully complete drug, alcohol and nicotine testing.
