In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the design and drafting of real-world civil infrastructure. Whether you're a recent graduate of a drafting or engineering technology program or someone with a year or two of experience looking to grow, we want to meet you.  Responsibilities

  • Design and drafting of engineering plans.
  • Complete quantity calculations as directed by engineer.
  • Works under the guidance of engineers and project managers to complete assigned drafting tasks.
  • Understands and follows the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. 
  • Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs. 
  • Maintains schedules and offers progress reports. 
  • Revises or changes drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions. 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum 
  • Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ Years of civil engineering design related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Autodesk Products (Civil 3D)
  • Previous experience with Bentley Products (Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction and express understanding of the directions received.   

Compensation

The estimated compensation range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour. This range is just an estimate for this posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon education, experience, and skills.
