Responsibilities

Design and drafting of engineering plans.
Participates, as needed, in design meetings with engineering and client staff to fully understand expected project outcomes.
Works under the guidance of engineers and project managers to complete assigned drafting tasks.
Set up backgrounds, schedules, and details.
Check and plot drawings.
Correctly label final working drawings.
Update contract drawings/specifications.
Assist in setting up CADD standards.
Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting it to Project Manager for review.
May prepare cost and quantity estimates.
May perform design calculations.
Report progress and maintain schedules.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Active member in Cad user groups or other technical societies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum

Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
5+ Years of civil engineering design related experience required.
Previous experience with Autodesk Products (Civil 3D)

Previous experience with Bentley Products (Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.) preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
Ability to take direction and express understanding of the directions received.

Compensation

The estimated compensation range for this position is $30 to $45 per hour. This range is just an estimate for this posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon education, experience, and skills.
