Position Summary:
Lindsay Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Leader of North America Logistics. This role is responsible for managing inbound, internal, and outbound truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, primarily to and from the Lindsay Plant. Reporting to the Vice President - Global Supply Chain, the successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Essential functions:
This role is a full-time position located at the Lindsay, NE location.
- Strategic Lead:Execute the North America Logistics strategy, aligning with Lindsay Company's overall supply chain and business goals.
- 3PL Implementation:Collaborate on the implementation of third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Work closely with partners to enhance logistics capabilities and scalability.
- Operational Excellence:Oversee day-to-day logistics operations ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Cost Management: logistics budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality. Analyze logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Team Lead:Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing logistics team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Technology Integration:Collaborate with IT and supply chain teams to integrate and optimize transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Customer Focus:Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, supply chain, and production teams to ensure that logistics services meet or exceed both internal and external customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics management, supply chain roles, or operational leadership roles.
- Proven experience in managing operational / transportation teams.
- Understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Experience in leading projects or initiatives with significant impact on business operations.
