SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of an engaged and diverse team, this position provides technology tools and support to enhance services that strengthen individuals and families in our community.  You will provide technical assistance to Agency Staff; answer questions and resolve computer problems for Agency Staff in person, over the phone, or provides assistance and training, including but not limited to, general computer use, network printing, smartphone use, tablet use, MS Office Suite, electronic security systems, employee maintenance, and other technology related hardware, software, and policy/procedure items currently utilized in the Agency environment. You will also write and review technical documentation for various IT related functions.

Compensation: between $22.51 and $26.84 per year (wage is based on total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

PREFERED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Some computer support/troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and answering user inquiries via phone, email, ticket, or in-person regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Provide instruction to employees on proper use of equipment.
  • Following documentation and instructions provided, set up of equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Ensure Service Requests, Incidents, and other documentation are updated with accurate and current information.
  • Read technical documentation, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Develop and document procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
  • Maintain inventories of agency equipment.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Create, maintain and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
