We are currently accepting resumes/vitas for Adjunct Instructors to teach undergraduate Computer Science courses.

 

Primary Area of Interest: The ideal candidate will have industry experience applying algorithms and data structures in a software development, business operations, or technical research environment; however, a commensurate level of experience teaching algorithm theory and application may be substituted for industry experience.

 

Degree: Master's

 

Degree Area: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or other related technical degree 

 

Location: Online.

 

Primary Functions/Essential Skills: 

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of sorting and searching algorithms as well as data structures such as linked lists, binary trees, arrays, vectors, and chained/bucket hash tables.
  • Must have firsthand experience writing software using C/C++, Python, Java, or an equivalent 3rd generation programming language.
  • Previous undergraduate on-campus or online teaching experience (e.g., adjunct instructor, teaching assistant, etc.) is required.
  • Experience teaching or applying data science, machine learning, and natural language processing algorithms is a plus: as is knowledge of machine learning Python/C++ libraries such as Scikit Learn or Google Tensor Flow.
  • Prior experience interacting with students using Blackboard or a similar Learning Management System is a plus.

 

Pay & Benefits: Adjunct Faculty are paid a fixed rate salary based on course assignment.  The compensation for course assignment ranges from $2,000 - $2,625 per course assignment based upon degree level and course modality.
