Summary:

The Recruitment and Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact for recruiting on-campus students at Bellevue University. This position focuses on outreach to diverse populations, with a strategic emphasis on the Latino community. Utilizing effective sales and marketing techniques, the Manager engages prospective students, provides information about our degree programs, and guides them through the recruitment process. This includes managing a recruitment territory, cultivating relationships with high schools and community organizations serving potential Latino students, and conducting K-8 outreach programs to promote post-secondary education.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with University leadership to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Execute a strategic recruitment plan to attract a diverse pool of qualified Latino students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers in high schools and community organizations.
  • Organize and attend recruitment events (college fairs, information sessions, community outreach).
  • Conduct campus tours and presentations showcasing Bellevue University's offerings.
  • Partner with Student Life, Academic Services, Marketing, and Admissions to ensure a seamless student experience.
  • Analyze recruitment data and recommend improvements to strategies.
  • Manage the recruitment budget effectively.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices.

 

K-8 Outreach:

  • Develop and implement outreach activities for K-8 students to promote Bellevue University and post-secondary education.

 

Additional Duties:

  • Assist with new student orientation programs.
  • Support a positive student experience through events and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of recruiting, enrollment, or admissions experience preferred. Relationship management experience in education and knowledge of student buying lifecycles a plus.
  • Language: Bilingual Spanish/English required.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to network and build strong relationships with high schools and communities.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Demonstrated presentation development and delivery skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the University.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

 

Work Environment:

  • Travel within a 150-mile radius (up to 60% during peak recruiting periods).
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Normal office environment.
